Vocational school is career-focused institutions that provide practical and technical education in specialized fields such as IT, business, design, animation, hospitality, culinary arts, fashion, nursing, and automobile technology. They combine classroom learning with hands-on training, preparing students for direct employment or university transfer after graduation.
Most vocational programs last for 2 years, offering full-time or part-time tracks. Some schools offer 1-year courses depending on the field.
Note: Students going to Japanese vocational schools must hold JLPT N4 and higher levels of academic, sufficient finances, and medical insurance throughout their study.
